What are you thankful for? Does happiness make you thankful, or is it being thankful which makes you happy?
Yes, we are dealing with thankfulness today, there are so many things we can be thankful or grateful of, but we are so use to complaining that our instant
reaction to life is to moan and whine. I am talking to myself as much as to
you reading this.
I've come to realise that every
moment is a gift. One we should be thankful for, this moment with all its opportunities and experiences is a given moment. Once it passes it will never again be
that moment, sure - a similar situation might come back around, but that original moment and opportunity has gone - whatever,
life offers to you in that moment go with it and enjoy it, take and shape it to your goals and life.
Sometimes, we are so busy,
being busy that we miss these
moments of clarity and opportunities to take
action. In all the rush and noise of the world changing and evolving around us, sometimes we just need to take a moment to
STOP. Just, stop, be still and
listen, it is in the silence that we are able to hear our thoughts from the subconscious, and be thankful that we are given such moments of quiet in all the noise.
So, is today
just another day in your life? for me, I will take today as a gift and not for granted. There was no surety I would wake up to see the sun, or feel the chill in the autumn air. And see the beauty in nature on display for my pleasure - free of charge. Today should
NOT be taken as any other day, dear readers, take the time today to just listen...
Let everyone who you meet today be moved by
your presence, smile and the world will smile back at you. They say there is a law of attraction, what we put out is what we attract, so why not
just for today. Walk with surety and
purpose, speak with kindness and grace, love unconditionally, lend an
empathic ear, just listen without trying to find an answer, hug someone you have never met before and love yourself in the moment -
JUST FOR TODAY BE THANKFUL!

RECIPE OF THE DAY

Cook 1/4 cup of oats in 1 cup coconut milk and 1/2 cup water, add a lime leave to the boiling porridge. Once cooked remove the lime leave, stir in some honey to taste, and sprinkle with the desiccated coconut, add the cashew nuts and fresh lime leave for swagger. ENJOY x |
