Matcha Apple Smoothie

I love matcha! it is so easy to include in a healthy diet. It is a versatile ingredient in the kitchen from making a cup of tea to adding amazing colour to cakes and other sweet dishes. I will share one of my breakfast smoothies with you, with matcha in the staring role!
The wonderful lush green colour is offset by the thick texture resulting from the psyllium husks and the fresh aroma of raw apples. Soaking the cashew nuts will give the milk a lovely creamy, silky texture.

Soak the cashew nuts in the soy milk (overnight is a good idea)
after soaking the cashew nuts, pour the milk, salt and cashew nuts in a blender and combine till smooth.

Add the other ingredients and blend well till smooth. I sieved the matcha powder because it has a tendency to clump.

Combine well and pour in a glass topped with extra matcha powder and an apple slice.

Done!

#if you have any left over - just freeze it in ice cubes and you can add them to another smoothie!#
