Great little guide for those of you trying to get your heads round portion sizes, especially if you've found counting calories tiresome. This guide was found on Guardyourhealth.com
. These are handy visual aids, but I think they should still be used with caution, it doesn't really take into account any addition to the main food group. For example, a fist size portion of plain rice will have less calories than a fist size portion of say biriyani or stir-fried rice. Still useful though, as it can help make you more mindful of how much you could be over eating.
