Blogtober Series n0_12 Behind the scenes at KitchenTakeovers

Happy Monday!!!

Welcome to another post in the Blogtober Series, today I will give you a brief look at some of the things I do before the recipes and the blog posts get out to you lovely folks. I may have to update this post in due course as I am still learning the techy side of things, the video I had to go with the post is not cooperating, but where there's a will, there's a way - I just need it find it.

The Recipes
I have touched on this subject a little in a previous post, so won't bore you too much with the details again. However, I will add that when it comes to my inspirations I take my cues from pretty much the things around me and how I am feeling at the time. So, anything from food magazines, photos (not always food related), a smell, cook books, various life events and experiences. Sometimes it boils down to the ingredients I have on hand, as demonstrated with the Pantry-Throw-Down recipes.

This is Gobli, he oversees the recipes and  all that I do - whatever he is not happy about with the posts I have to change before they go live! tough task master.

The Photos
When it comes to the visual aspect of the blog posts, photography is key, as you might have already noticed from the recipes throughout the blog I try to give a lot of visual representation of each step in the process, so you can hopefully successfully recreate my recipes. I tend to use the Canon IXUS compact or Samsung phone with or without a tripod (it depends on what I am doing).

The Blog Posts
Sometimes, what I intend to write about will change depending on the outcome of the the recipe and the photos. But regardless, I always start off putting pen to paper just to get some rough idea of how I think the post should look, then I'll put it all on the computer for final editing.

That's it, this is the process of getting the blog posts out to you. I am always intrigued to see the reactions and interactions with the posts I put out. Changes are sometimes made depending on your feedback to fit in more with the types of recipes or posts you would like to see. So, keep sending me your comments and ideas of what you would like to see next on the blog. You're all making this blog with me after all, as we journey and make discoveries together.
