Blogtober Series n0_ 19 The Everyday Kind Of Food...

Happy Monday!

Hope you have all had an epic weekend, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the hell out of the coming week.

As you can all see from the post title, we are continuing with the blogtober challenge. Tackling the tough question 'what's my favourite food'? how can anyone expect a foodie to choose their favourite recipe or food for that matter. We, (foodies) are by our very nature driven my the desire to seek out and sample food in all it's delightful, aromatic, delicious and mouth watering yumminess - yeah, I just used that word, it's my post I can write YUMminess if I want to. Though most of us are plagued in some form by intolerances, allergies and the like. I secretly think this is some cruel trick of nature, on the one hand we have such a passionate love affair with food, but, we are limited by the type we can fully indulge in without the affair going sour.

Ah well, tis a tough job, but go on we must.

The one food, I could eat without ever tiring of it, would be noodles. In whatever shape, colour, texture they happen to come in. I just really like noodles, combine that with a tasty broth and you have a winner, in my book anyway. My favourite noodles would be those use for Ramen, this is a Japanese noodle soup dish. Consisting of wheat noodles served in a meat or fish broth, flavoured with soy sauce or miso, topped with meat or vegetables.

Why I love Ramen...
The noise - it's all about the slurp, I know in our culture it is seen as being impolite, but, that's the way to eat Ramen, you slurp! it brings out the kid in me and I love it, finally a food I can eat and enjoy making noises. There is however, another important reason for the slurping action it intensifies the flavours, giving you an all round mouth and sensory enjoyment of the dish. Don't believe me? try it!

The varieties - are endless, when it comes to Ramen. It can be vegetarian, vegan, meat lovers haven, served hot or (ice) cold, for every cuisine under the sun there's a flavour to meet that. Have it with beer, wine or soda and you still have a great dish. Here are a few of my favourite instagram ramen lovers Ramentology, Japan_Ramen_MagRamenraijin, check them out.

There's a price for every budget - whether you are a student or a professional city worker, there is going to be one to meet your budget and refined taste. Heck, I've seen a lobster ramen the other day, really wish I was eating it.

You can make it as healthy or unhealthy as you fancy, depending on what you're in the mood for, cause we all know, there are just days we want some comfort food to line our ribcages and other days we want to be healthier than The Food Dr.

So there you have it folks, my favourite food, below is one of my recipe of the day photocard for Ramen, low calories and super healthy.   Before you get to that let me shower you all with a bit of my Ramen foodporn.
